Starting this Monday with the Air21 vs SanMig game, the PBA will now be heard LIVE on FM radio.
Radyo5 92.3 NEWS FM will be the latest radio station to broadcast RadyoPBA action. Thanks to its sister stations 101.9 NEWS FM in Cebu & Davao, 102.3 NEWS FM in Bacolod, and 97.5 NEWS FM in General Santos City, PBA on FM radio will have a national reach. The broadcast will also be streamed online via Interaksyon.com.
It will complement the ongoing radio coverage that is currently on DZSR Sports Radio 918 on the AM band, which also has a nationwide reach via its satellite stations (DZEQ 999 in Baguio, DZMQ 576 in Dagupan, DWRB 549 in Naga, DYLL 585 in Iloilo, DYMR 576 in Cebu, DZMR 1170 in Zamboanga, DXIM 936 in Cagayan de Oro, and DXRP 666 in Davao.
This move will be especially handy for many PBA fans who are on the go and have their mobile phones with FM radio capability.
Kudos to Sports5 head Chot Reyes for this long-overdue move.
