Hopkins-Kovalev on Bigtime Bakbakan this Sunday

TV5 will be not be airing the unification bout between light-heavyweight champions Bernard Hopkins and Sergey Kovalev this weekend.

Telecast is to air starting 1pm via satellite.UPDATE: a subsequent release from TV5 reveals that they are no longer going to telecast this fight.

Set to take place at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, Hopkins will be putting his WBA and IBF belts on the line, while Kovalev will have his WBO title at stake.

The man dubbed as the Executioner still continues to defy Father Time, as he will be two months short of turning 50 when he faces Kovalev and attempting to secure his 56th win of his soon-to-be Hall of Fame career.

Meanwhile, the Krusher has continued to impress in the pro ranks after his extensive amateur career. Although he has had a layoff of more than a year, compared to just seven months for Hopkins.

Acting as a co-feature for Hopkins-Kovalev is a welterweight bout involving Sadam "World Kid" Ali against Luis Carlo Abregu.

Also on the card is Nadjib Mohammedi, as the French light-heavyweight could possibly make a play for a future matchup against either Hopkins or Kovalev if he can get past Demetrius Walker.
