With the UAAP decision to move high school basketball to the second semester, it also resulted with the move to have the high school volleyball competition.
Season 77 for that competition officially commences today at the Adamson Gym, with triple-headers on deck for both the boys and girls section.
Kicking off the festivities are the boys, with Ateneo and UPIS opening play at 8am. National University tests newcomers FEU-Diliman at 930am, while capping things is the clash between La Salle-Zobel and UST at 11am.
The girls would then continue high school action with La Salle-Zobel against UPIS at 1230pm, followed by NU against FEU-Diliman at 2pm. The last match features Adamson against UE at 330pm.
The champions drew byes and will not participate on the opening day matches. Instead, they will commence play on Sunday. Both schools lose their respective MVPs, with UST beginning life after Ennajie Laure and UE with Edward Camposano.
